What baffles me is that Nylander claims that he is doing what's right for him and that he is leaving it in the hands of his agent. At some point shouldn't he be thinking... "Hey, This isn't working... Time for Plan B"

Matthews need to sign, that will have all the other chips fall in place (Marner/Willie). If Matthews signs something reasonable I think Nylander will as well, he just doesn't want to be the guy that took the discount while everyone else got paid.

Of course he is getting bad advice, but he knows matthews will sign for almost double what the leafs are offering him and marner will get probably 2 mill more as well. As they should. His dad believes he should get close to that.
Remember, his dad also always thought he was better than he actually was and deserved more.
